Our Story

Community Works Collective grew out of 15 years of pioneering work at Participate, where our founding team designed and sustained learning communities across education, nonprofit, and industry sectors worldwide. We issued hundreds of thousands of digital credentials, convened networks spanning dozens of institutions, and learned what actually makes communities thrive.

Now, as Community Works Collective, we're bringing that hard-won expertise to organizations ready to transform episodic engagement into lasting collaboration. We walk alongside our partners with clarity, curiosity, and care—designing communities of practice where purpose meets practice.

Why We Do This Work

We've seen what happens when communities work: learning accelerates, innovation emerges, and people find belonging in shared purpose. We've also seen what happens when they don't: good intentions trapped in platforms nobody uses, one-off events that don't stick, recognition systems that feel hollow.
